Conference Overview
The development of leadership talent throughout instituitions of higher learning is quickly becoming a strategic imperative. Higher education produces leaders for effective management in national institutions whereas national policies set the parameters and conditions for productive education. This proposed national conference aims at examining major issues and challenges of higher education to bring about the best practice strategies to manage and lead academic institutions. The major focal points of the conference will be: existing administrative structure and governance; transparency of academic and administrative information; accountability of stakeholder recruitment and retention of faculty; academic offerings; professional development, accreditation and quality assurance; accessibility and affordability; resource allocation and management; integrity; assessment; and student's learning outcomes. 

Goals and Objectives
In futherance of the above-mentioned issues, the aims and objectives of the conference are:
To identify the issues and challenges of effective management and leadership development at institutions of higher learning;
To discuss and analyze the roles and responsibilities of department, school, academic council, syndicate/regent board, and senate in achieving the mission and goals of higher education;
To explore the best practice methods for effective functioning of academic institutions.

This conference is the setting for a dialogue among the participants to speak with dellow educational administators and exchange ideas, to network, and to take home necessary tools to equip themselves to enhance the quality and credibility of educational offerings at their respective institutions. The expected output from each panel is to create a common platform with key findings to establish strategic management and effective leadership in higher education. Recommendations from the conference thematic panel discussions will be submitted to the stakeholders of the institutions of higher learning for further improvement of educational instuctions and quality enhancement.
