When funding resources permit, AIBS annually sponsors a one-week seminar/workshop on current issues in higher education. Prior topics have included teaching methodologies, research methodologies, proposal writing and grantsmanship, and university administration. Topics are proposed by U.S. institutions, individual U.S. faculty members, or Bangladeshi institutions of higher education. AIBS acts as a facilitator to match U.S. offerings with Bangladesh need. Commonly, two faculty members go to Bangladesh to offer the seminar. AIBS provides round trip air tickets as well as per diem to cover expenses. This program is open to all faculty members of U.S. universities. Applicants are limited to U.S. citizens.
