Individual membership is open to all persons who are engaged professionally in Bangladesh studies and costs $25 annually. Members participate in the Institute's programs, including panels at the annual meetings of the South Asia Conference at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in October, and at the Association for Asian Studies Meetings in March.

Those wishing to become individual members of AIBS may apply by filling out the application (Word or PDF format). After submitting the application, a $25 check (payable to American Institute of Bangladesh Studies) must be sent to:
