AIBS is governed by the Board of Trustees and follows the AIBS Bylaws. The Board elects the Executive Committee and the Officers for fixed-terms.

The AIBS Bylaws limit the terms and responsibilities of the AIBS Officers. AIBS instituted an audit and finance committee to govern the institutes financial procedures.
